Police have identified a man killed in a wreck in Sandy Springs on Tuesday night.

Julio C. Becerra-Tapia, 18, of Roswell died in the single-vehicle crash that happened around 8:35 p.m. on Roswell Road near Pitts Road, police said on Wednesday.

Investigators said Tuesday night the driver was traveling alone, apparently at excessive speed, when he lost control of the vehicle, hit a tree and was ejected.

He was transported to North Fulton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
