A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday afternoon during a three-vehicle crash in front of Kennesaw’s Town Center Mall.

Cobb County police spokeswoman Officer Alicia Chilton said 21-year-old Marietta resident Kyle Bowersox was driving his Honda motorcycle on George Busbee Parkway when a Toyota Scion turned in front of him. Bowersox “made a hard brake application and was separated from the motorcycle,” Chilton said.

His motorcyle then collided with the Scion. A Mazda 3 that was driving behind Bowersox also hit the Scion.

Bowersox was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 16-year-old driver of the Scion was not injured, nor was the 21-year-old driver of the Mazda, Chilton said.

The investigation into the crash, which happened around 4:50 p.m., is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 770-499-3987.
