A 48-year-old man died in a crash Monday morning near WellStar Paulding Hospital, officials said.
A tractor-trailer heading east on U.S. 278 collided with a vehicle crossing southbound on Bill Carruth Parkway, Paulding County fire spokesman Steve Mapes told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The driver of the vehicle, Timothy Starks of Powder Springs, was killed, according to Georgia State Patrol officials.
