A Woodstock man died in a single-vehicle wreck Thursday evening in north Cobb County.

Gregory M. Jones, 53, was traveling eastbound on Ga. 92 in a 1993 Chevrolet S10 Blazer when the vehicle left the roadway, drove into an embankment and overturned near the intersection with Collins Circle in Acworth, police said.

Investigators believe Jones was negotiating a curve when the SUV left the roadway, but have not yet determined the cause of the wreck. Jones, the only person in the vehicle, died at the scene.

City of Acworth and Cobb County police officers are investigating the wreck.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Cobb police at 770-499-3987.
