A man was killed Monday morning while walking through a parking lot on Roswell Road in Marietta, police said.

Stephen Snook, 66, of Marietta, was hit by a Freightliner tractor-trailer just before 10 a.m., Marietta police spokeswoman Brittany Wallace said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Pierre Poteau, 54, of Lawrenceville, was not charged, Wallace said.

Wallace said Snook was wearing a dark-colored jacket and blue jeans as he headed north through the parking lot.
