Man found shot to death in southwest Atlanta

Atlanta police are investigating the shooting of a man found dead in the middle of a southwest Atlanta street.

The shooting happened around 4 a.m. Friday along Gillette Avenue near Oakhill Avenue, in the Adair Park neighborhood off Metropolitan Parkway, according to police dispatchers.

Channel 2 Action News reported that the victim was apparently shot in the driveway of an abandoned house before staggering into the street and collapsing.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.
