Gwinnett police looking for witnesses in New Years murder

A 22 year-old man was found shot to death in the driver’s seat of a car in a Buford apartment complex parking lot.

Gwinnett County police said officers found Reginald Bien-Aime dead when they responded to a call that four to six shots had been fired Thursday night at The Reserve at Ivy Creek Apartments on Appaloosa Lane.

An officer at the scene told Channel 2 Action News the car was in the back of the gated complex and the driver’s-side door was open but it was not known if the shooter was inside or outside the car when the gun was discharged.

“Officers arrived on scene about seven minutes later and located a vehicle in the cul-de-sac with a deceased male inside the car,” Sgt. Brian Doan, with Gwinnett County police told the TV station.

Police have no suspects and few details but Doan said it’s early in the investigation. “I think people will come forward or we will be able to locate some people once our detectives are done doing their job.”
