The man found shot to death in a northeast Atlanta apartment early Tuesday has been identified as Travis Harris, 28, of Atlanta.

According to police dispatch records, officers were sent to the Auburn Place apartments in the 100 block of Fort Street shortly before 5:30 a.m.

A woman told police that she had not seen her cousin for a day or so, went to check on him and found him in his bed with a gunshot wound to the head.

Responding officers reported that Harris was deceased when they arrived.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones told the AJC on Wednesday that no arrests had been made and investigators had not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
