Man found dead in car in NW Atlanta
Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead in a car in northwest Atlanta on Sunday, police said.
The body was discovered after police received a call about a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Hood Avenue at Oldknow Road.
The man, who was in the driver’s seat of a red Monte Carlo, had been shot several times in the chest, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.
The Monte Carlo had been reported as stolen out of DeKalb County, she said.
No other information was immediately available.
The investigation is continuing.
