Man found dead after Canton house fire

A man was found dead inside a Canton home after firefighters extinguished a blaze Wednesday night.
Firefighters and police were called to a Legend Creek Drive home around 4 p.m., Officer Pacer Cordry with Canton police said. When the fire was out, a body was found inside the home, Cordry said.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office as assisting with the investigation, Cordry said.
No further details were released Wednesday.
