A Cherokee County man was electrocuted Monday in an incident involving utility wires in Coweta County, authorities said.

Dusty Harmon, 22, of Canton, died while he and another man were attempting to install a sign, according to information posted on the Coweta County Fire Department Facebook page. The incident happened about 3 p.m.

The other worker, identified as Matt Key, was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital, authorities said. His condition is not known.

The boom truck operated by the men became tangled in the wires when they were lowering the sign into place, authorities said. Rescue workers found the men on the ground.
