Police say a man has died after a shooting at a northwest Atlanta store.

The shooting happened around 4 p.m. Thursday at AK Food Store on Joseph E. Boone Boulevard.

A witness said the victim was sitting in a white van when the gunman walked up and opened fire.

The witness said the gunman then lit what appeared to be a blunt and said, "That's how you take someone out"  before he ran off.

Atlanta police say the victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police say it appears the men may have known each other.

They're still looking for the gunman as the investigation continues.
