Man in critical condition after shooting in SW Atlanta

A man was in critical condition Tuesday night after a shooting in southwest Atlanta.

The incident happened just before 8:15 p.m. at Empire Boulevard and Glenrose Circle.

According to the preliminary information, it appears the man was shot in the leg during an alleged robbery attempt, police spokesman Ralph Woolfolk told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The victim was in critical condition, he said.

No other information was immediately available.
