An Atlanta man was arrested early Monday morning and charged with stealing air conditioning units.

Zierre Fame Odom, 25, faces numerous charges after Gwinnett County police, responding to a report of a man stealing air conditioners from a house on Westheimer Road in unincorporated Gwinnett near Stone Mountain, arrested Odom in the neighborhood.

Police said they found parts to several air conditioners, wiring, and copper tubing inside Odom's vehicle.

Detectives from the police metal theft unit determined that the air conditioner parts in Odom’s vehicle came from five separate air conditioner units. They began searching the area and located a second location missing its air conditioner nearby.

Both locations Odom allegedly stole from were vacant.

Detectives narrowed their search to vacant homes, and within a few hours found three more houses missing their air conditioners.

Odom was charged with five counts of felony theft by taking, five counts of criminal damage to property 2nd degree, one count of possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and one count of loitering and prowling.

Gwinnett police said they charged Odom for similar crimes last summer.

Odom was being held without bond Tuesday in the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
