Authorities in Forsyth County have identified a body found Monday in Lake Lanier as Curtis I. Lee, 52, of Gwinnett County.
A Forsyth County Fire Department dive team pulled Lee’s body out of the water near Six Mile Creek Park Monday afternoon.
Forsyth sheriff’s spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez said in an email Tuesday that while an autopsy has not yet been completed, investigators have found no sign of foul play.
The body was the second found in Lake Lanier in the past week.
On Wednesday, the badly decomposed body of a man was found near Sunrise Cove Marina in neighboring Hall County. The body was later identified as Michael Gilmer, 61, of Flowery Branch.
Foul play is also not suspected in Gilmer’s death, Hall sheriff’s spokeswoman Nicole Bailes said Tuesday.
