The body of a 24-year-old man was recovered Wednesday afternoon from Lake Allatoona, officials said.

The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Someone reported the man’s body floating in shallow water wearing shorts and a life jacket, Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a news release.

The man may have drowned, and foul play is not suspected at this time, Millsap said.
