The body of a man in his 60s was found Thursday in Lake Lanier at Gainesville Marina.

Shortly after 10 a.m., officials responded to the marina, which is on Dawsonville Highway, Hall County sheriff’s spokesman Stephen Wilbanks said. A boater found the body floating in the lake.

The victim rents a slip at the marina, where he keeps his boat, Wilbanks said. There’s no indication of foul play.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.
