Man accused of stealing $20,000 in brass from employer

A 25-year-old Marietta man is accused of stealing brass items worth about $20,000 from his employer, Kennesaw police said Thursday.

Chase Jeremy Dean is charged with felony theft by taking and is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center with no bond. He was arrested Wednesday, according to jail records.

Dean allegedly took large amounts of brass items, including valves and fittings, from Engineered Specialty Products in the 3200 block of Cobb International Boulevard.

The value of the missing items was determined to be approximately $20,000 during the investigation, police said.
