Cobb County has been awarded a $1.6 million grant from the State Road and Tollway Authority to make improvements at Riverside Parkway near Interstate 20 and Six Flags Over Georgia.

The grant will be provided through the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank program.

This project will improve mobility on Riverside Parkway from Interstate 20 eastbound to Six Flags Drive by realigning an intersection and improving sidewalks, traffic signals and signage.

The project also will increase accessibility for thousands of employees and guests of Six Flags Over Georgia.
