An accident on the Downtown Connector has sent at least one person to the hospital and blocked several southbound lanes, according to Atlanta police.

The incident happened at I-75/85 southbound near Fair Drive around 5:30, police said.

One vehicle has flipped several times and is overturned, police said. One person is trapped inside.

The passengers in the vehicle -- at least one may be a child -- were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, police said.

The accident has blocked three lanes of traffic, police said.
