Duluth will close Main Street from City Hall to Hardy Street from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29 for an awareness event designed to increase funds for the Duluth Church Cemetery. Money raised through the event will be used for perpetual care, landscaping and repair work of monuments, etc. The event will take place on the Calaboose Island, in front of Duluth’s historic jailhouse.

The event will include BBQ, speakers, gospel music and tours of the cemetery. The public is invited to learn more about preservation of the beautiful, historic cemetery.
