An exhibit of  more than 40 original photographs of the discovery and excavation of the 15th-century Incan city of Machu Picchu will move from Kennesaw State University to the University of Georgia.

The National Geographic photography exhibit of the city discovered by explorer Hiram Bingham 100 years ago, was displayed in conjunction with KSU’s “Year of Peru.” That exhibit is now closed. The UGA exhibit will begin in January.

Machu Picchu's discovery has been considered one of the world’s most important archaeological finds.
