Barbara Luth has been appointed chief registrar and chairperson of the Forsyth County Board of Registration and Elections, county officials announced.

Superior Court Chief Judge Jeffrey S. Bagley appointed Luth to the position. She currently is Forsyth’s director of voter registration and elections.

Luth will succeed Chief Registrar Donald Glover, who is retiring after serving in that job since 2010.

She is to be sworn in by Magistrate Court Judge Lynnwood D. Jordan at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the regular monthly meeting of the Forsyth Board of Voter Registrations and Elections, 1201 Sawnee Drive, Cumming.

“Ms. Luth’s vast background and experience in voting and elections makes her eminently qualified for the position of chief voter registrar,” Bagley said.
