U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermillk, R-Cassville, will open his main congressional district office in Woodstock this spring.

Staffer John Wallace told the Woodstock City Council Monday night that the office at 9898 Ga. 92 will mark the first time a primary district operation has located in Cherokee County. He said constituents services and a lot of field staff will be based there, and that Loudermilk will spend a large percentage of time in-office when not in Washington, D.C.

Wallace said they’ll hold a date-to-be determined grand opening after necessary prep work and security checks. Loudermilk was sworn into office earlier this month replacing former U.S. Rep Phil Gingrey in Georgia’s 11th district.
