Loganville natural gas customers will soon benefit from maintenance to their service lines. The Lawrenceville Gas Department is the exclusive provider of natural gas service inside Loganville city limits and will be performing the work.

The work will include replacing 23,000 feet of old steel and plastic pipe that dates back to the 1950s. Residences and businesses along Atlanta Highway, Lee Byrd Road, Bay Creek Road, Bruce Street, Perry Street, Old Zion Cemetery Road and Homer Moon Road will be affected during the construction. The improvements are expected to impact about 170 customers.

Lawrenceville Gas will re-light all pilot lights free of charge. No gas will be shut off to customers when temperatures are below freezing unless someone is at the home. Depending on the weather, work could last into the early 2020.
