Spring is here, and with that comes weather more suitable for outdoor events.
At Avalon – the mixed-use development in north Fulton County – a handful of weekly events have returned for a fourth season and are here to stay through the fall.
Little Acorns, AvalonOM, Avalon Nights Live and Punchline Comedy all returned to the Alpharetta community last week. The events will continue through October.

“Avalon is the perfect place for families and friends to gather and enjoy new experiences that emphasize wellness, learning and quality time spent with loved ones,” Carla Cox, director of marketing at Avalon, said in a statement.
Little Acorns is every Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to noon and invites parents and caregivers to bring their pre-school aged children to play in Avalon’s plaza. There will be weekly surprises and games for the children, including face painting, storytelling and visits from fictional characters.
Every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m., Avalon will host AvalOM, a free fitness class. The classes will feature yoga, pilates, barre-less barre and will be led by expert instructors.
Avalon Nights Live will happen every Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., giving families and friends the chance to kick back and relax after a week of work. There will be live music from local bands, and guests are welcome to bring to-go food and drinks from Avalon’s eateries out to the plaza.
On the first Monday of each month, Avalon will host Punchline Comedy Night at Palmer Plaza. Each performance begins around 7:30 p.m. and lasts about 90 minutes. It is recommended that only ages 13 and older attend. Avalon’s website will provide a list of performers each month.
