The Lilburn Community Improvement District will hold an open house for its Design 29 Corridor Study 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 at Providence Christian Academy, 4575 Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn. The open house is part of the CID’s ongoing Design 29 project designed to improve a 4-mile stretch of Highway 29, from Rockbridge Road to Ronald Reagan Parkway.

The project centers around reshaping how pedestrians, bicyclists, automobile riders interact and experience the area. Plans include the installation of medians and landscaping to visually connect the businesses, schools and places of worship through physical improvements such as lighting, pavers, benches, trash receptacles, plaza spaces, and signage.
