The Lilburn Community Improvement District’s Board of Directors recently adopted a new strategic plan to help guide the District’s overall priorities for the coming year. The plan includes objectives aimed at developing a “clear sense of place and purpose that will help drive business opportunities for growth and redevelopment in the Highway 29 corridor and surrounding areas”.

The CID initiatives will include development of three key “pillar” geographic areas to drive overall economic growth: Main Street and Lilburn City Hall area, Rockbridge Road / BAPS Mandir area, and Pleasant Hill Road at Ronald Reagan Parkway.

The plan also calls for enhancing the industrial-area infrastructure and increasing access for commercial vehicles, improving appearance with beautification, cleanup and lighting, increasing CID membership and member engagement, and an investment in pedestrian walkways and trails.
