The Lilburn Alcohol Review Board has found numerous businesses in violation of the city’s alcohol ordinance over a period of time, many of these resulting in various supervised action plans. As a result, the Lilburn City Council voted Monday to amend various sections of the alcohol beverage ordinance.

As an example, in the violations and penalties section of the ordinance, the words “subjected to a supervised action plan” will be added to the sentence, “Any such person so convicted shall also be subject to having his license suspended, or revoked, if he shall be the holder of a license issued by the city.”

Additional changes were approved regarding suspension or revocation, pre-drink excise taxes, licensing, transferability of an alcohol license, hearings before the board, as well as alcohol board appointments.
