If you’re in extreme north Georgia — and up early — you might see a snowflake or two early Saturday.
But for the metro Atlanta area, the forecast includes early-morning rain before temperatures climb to the upper 50s, according to forecasters.
“There is a weather disturbance moving our way that will produce some light rain in the south metro area on Saturday morning between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m.,” according to Meteorologist David Chandley with Channel 2 Action News.
Isolated showers should clear, leaving partly cloud skies for the weekend. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 30s before Sunday afternoon’s high temperature will hit nearly 60 degrees, Chandley said.
Monday’s forecast includes a 20 percent chance of rain, but the likelihood of rain increases for both Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures to start the work week will be between the upper 40s and low 50s, according to forecasters.
