Library board to discuss hours, fundraising

Sept 27, 2011

The Gwinnett County Public Library Board of Trustees will discuss new service hours and a private fund-raising plan at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Suwanee Branch, 361 Main Street, Suwanee.

Faced with reductions in county and state funding, the library board is considering closing libraries up to two days a week. It’s also considering a plan to raise money from private companies and people to make up for lost tax dollars.
