Lawrenceville will soon give residents a chance to decide on whether or not local restaurants should be able to serve alcohol at 11 a.m. on Sundays as opposed to the current time of 12:30 p.m. Residents will be able to vote on adoption of Senate Bill 17, also known as the Sunday Brunch Bill, during a special election to be held March 19.

Voting will take place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 19 on the fourth floor of City Hall, 70 South Clayton St. Early voting begins Feb. 25.

This special municipal election will be held on the same day as Gwinnett residents cast their votes for or against the county-wide Transit Services Referendum. This vote will be taking place at a different location from Lawrenceville’s Brunch Bill referendum. Residents should check their polling location to determine where they will vote on the MARTA transit issue. Information on the Brunch Bill Referendum: www.lawrencevillega.org.
