Lawrenceville will hold their final two public hearings regarding the proposed Fiscal Year 2019 millage rate at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. July 11 in the 4th floor Council Chambers at Lawrenceville City Hall, 70 South Clayton St. The City Council will adopt the millage rate at 7 p.m. during the regularly scheduled council meeting.

Lawrenceville has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 4.55 percent. The tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 1.909 mills, an increase of .083 mills. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 1.826 mills.

The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $200,000 is approximately $6.64 and the proposed tax increase for a non-homestead property with a fair market value of $550,000 is approximately $18.26.
