The Lawrenceville City Council recently voted unanimously to approve the purchase of a residential property located across from the city cemetery at 131 Atha St. for $90,000.

Over the last several years, the city has worked to acquire and assemble numerous properties along Atha Street for redevelopment purposes. This is the last of five parcels the city plans to purchase on Atha Street.

The property has been inspected and no environmental hazards have been detected. The city’s next step will be to obtain bids for demolition of the existing structure.
