The Lawrenceville City Council has voted to give the Lawrenceville Downtown Development Authority permission to complete negotiations with Hilton for a full-service Hilton Tapestry boutique hotel and 380-space parking deck. The public-private partnership will include 120 hotel rooms, retail space, and 5,000-square-feet of conference center space.

The planned location bordered by Crogan, Jackson, Luckie and Chestnut streets would provide additional parking to the Lawrenceville Lawn and other downtown venues. Of the 380 parking spaces, 100 of them would be reserved for use by hotel guests.

Hilton will build the deck as part of the hotel and Lawrenceville’s DDA will then buy the parking area for $8.7 million using $3.7 million in SPLOST funds and $5 million from the city’s general fund.
