The Lawrenceville City Council agreed Monday to fund a feasibility study for expansion of the Aurora Theatre Block. The project, led by the Downtown Development Authority will look at potential operations and architectural opportunities that exist for the property adjacent to the Aurora Theatre.

The DDA has chosen to work with the Phillips Architecture Partnership and the Woodruff Foundation to look at a mixed-use environment for potential added theatre area, outdoor environment and educational space in conjunction with Georgia Gwinnett College.

The City Council previously approved $40,000 for the feasibility study. An additional $13,125 was approved April 4.
