Lawrenceville has partnered with Gwinnett to install new landscaping along Georgia Highway 316 at the intersection of Highway 120. Work on this beautification project is scheduled to begin January 2018 and will complement the major private development projects already underway in Gwinnett’s county seat.

“This project is a classic example of how counties and cities can work together to improve our common community,” said Mayor Judy Jordan Johnson. “We are the county seat of Gwinnett and see Gwinnett county government operations as a strategic corporate partner to creating a sense of place that our residents and visitors can enjoy. We look forward to seeing the final result of this exciting beautification project.”

“The gateway to Lawrenceville is also the gateway to the core of Gwinnett county government. We’re glad to contribute to a project that welcomes people to the city as well as to the courthouse and other facilities that provide the high quality county services Gwinnett residents have come to expect,” added Chairman Charlotte Nash.

Installation for Lawrenceville’s gateway beautification project is expected to be complete in the spring of 2018.
