The deadline had been this past Monday, but Lawrenceville officials decided this week to extend the window for applications for all events taking place in 2016 until July 31. The new policy is currently in effect for use of the Lawrenceville Lawn, any road closures due to rental of the Historic Gwinnett County Courthouse Grounds and all pre-approved parade routes, 5K or 10K Run/Walk events.
Event organizers will be contacted regarding application status in early August. Once the city’s event calendar for the designated time frame has been established, no events will be added or road closures granted.
