On March 19, Lawrenceville established a drive-through pattern using parking spaces for restaurants and shops on the Downtown Square. The effort, to assist retailers and to promote business during the COVID-19 pandemic, will allow customers to pre-order their food or products from their favorite retailer or restaurant. Once ordered, customers can drive-up, pick-up and drive away without ever leaving their vehicle. The Lawrenceville Police Department will assist with the process for safety purposes.

On March 25, Lawrenceville joined Gwinnett and all city municipalities in banning in-dining and patio dining options. Restaurants and brewery establishments may continue to sell unopened containers of beer by retail package for consumption off-premises.
