The Lawrenceville city council began discussions at its most recent work session to consider a request by New Testament Ministries Inc. to allow a parsonage at 415 West Pike St.

Despite citing numerous concerns, the city’s Planning Commission is recommending approval of the request with 12 added conditions including residential use of the property will be limited to a parsonage/parish/rectory for a maximum of two individuals, adult pastors, and may only allow for one additional visiting pastor.

Lease or sale of the property for residential purposes will not be allowed. Other than the church uses defined in the special use permit, the parsonage may not be used as a single-family or multi-family residence. The city council will consider the request for approval May 2.
