Chamblee High was evacuated on Friday afternoon due to a fire related to a laser engraving machine.

Chamblee police officers and Dekalb County firefighters responded to the school. No students were injured and all were expected to be allowed back in around 3:30 p.m. after the building was vented, the police said on Facebook.

“It is confirmed there was a fire at the school. All students are fine,” the agency said in a post, accompanied by a photo of the LaserPro Spirit machine. “The fire has been put out and the picture attached is the culprit.”

Police didn’t say how the fire started.
