Ray Perren will be the next president of Lanier Technical College, under action the Technical College System of Georgia took last week.
Perren, the current president of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, will become the leader of Lanier Tech May 1. He replaces Russell Vandiver, who has retired.
Lanier Tech enrolls nearly 5,600 students at campuses in Cumming, Commerce, Dawsonville, Oakwood and Winder.
The interim president of Wiregrass Tech will be Shawn Utley, vice president of economic development at Moultrie Technical College.
