Single lane closures have been announced for Ga. 369 at Browns Bridge on Lake Lanier between Forsyth and Hall counties as crews pour concrete substructures for a new bridge to replace the present one.

The closures are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 2, through Friday, Dec. 6, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. The work is “weather permitting” and subject to change. “Please exercise caution when traveling through the work zone,” GDOT said.

Browns Bridge carries Ga. 369 (Browns Bridge Road) over the main channel of the Chattahoochee River in Lake Lanier. A new bridge, with two 12-foot lanes and shoulders eight feet wide, is to be completed next April.
