The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced overnight ramp and lane closures in the coming days for Ga. 400 in the Sandy Springs-Dunwoody area.

Weather permitting, the ramp from Ga. 400 southbound to I-285 eastbound will be closed for geotechnical investigations from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Sept. 27. The posted detour is to take Ga. 400 south, exit at the Glenridge Connector, and get on Ga. 400 north to the eastbound I-285 exit.

Also, two left lanes will be closed on northbound and southbound Ga. 400 between Abernathy Road and Hammond Drive from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Sept. 28. The purpose is to install concrete barriers and create a work zone for upcoming construction at Mount Vernon Highway.

The work is in preparation for the reconstruction of the Ga. 400/I-285 interchange.
