The replacement of the Lake Peachtree spillway dam in Peachtree City is getting closer, with bids from seven contractors due on Aug. 10. The winning bid will be announced on Aug. 17.
City Manager Jon Rorie updated the City Council on Aug. 3 regarding the plans and timeline. With the design complete and the necessary permits issued, the water level will start being lowered on Aug. 28, and golf cart paths will be rerouted around the construction area.
