U.S. and Forsyth County authorities have announced the 2017 schedule for day use parks and campgrounds at Lake Lanier.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says five campgrounds will open effective March 30. Duckett Mill, Van Pugh South and Sawnee campgrounds will be open just weekends during April before opening daily beginning in May. The Bald Ridge and Old Federal campgrounds will be open daily in April. Bolding Mill campground is open year-round and the summer loop will open beginning March 2. Toto Creek Campground will open May 1 and will be reservation-only.

Also, Forsyth county officials have announced that the Shady Grove Campground on Lake Lanier will open for the season March 6. Reservations: www.forsythco.com/parks.
