There will be a special meeting for the zoning board 5 p.m. April 13. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed Tri-Cities’ Joint Urban Redevelopment Plan. The poject would consist of Morrow, Forest Park and Lake City supporting each other to help develop areas around key landmarks including the Gillem complex, Southlake Mall and Clayton State University. Each city is expected to use its own Urban Redevelopment Agency to implement its own development and no one URA could overrule another. Each city would have the support of the other.

This will be followed by a variance hearing for 1483 Lake City Industrial Court and possibly a short work session. The regular city council meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
