Kyle Maynard was born with congenital amputation, which left him with leaving him without full arms and legs. But he hasn't let his condition slow him down. He's opened a gym -- No Excuses Athletics -- in Suwanee.

Maynard's gym is smaller than most. It doesn't have many machines. Instead the emphasis is on personalized training.

Maynard wrestled for Collins Hill High School in this 2004 photo. He lost all of his matches in his first season but went to finish 35-16 in his career.

Maynard is an aspiring mixed martial arts competitor, although he has been unable to secure a license to fight in Georgia.

Maynard wrote a book titled, "No Excuses" about his life. At a 2005 book signing at the University of Georgia, a huge line of supporters greeted him.

"I want to be in the gym all the time, so why not go the distance and help people out?" Maynard said.

"I think that, with wrestling or football or whatever it was athletically I competed in, it resonated with people," Maynard said. "If I can do it, they can do it."
