KSU gets grant to help combat veterans

Kennesaw State University Professor Svetlana Dambinova has received a $2.38 million Department of Defense grant to work on a blood test that can help  medics quickly diagnose concussions or other brain injuries.

The grant, announced this week, could also help  quickly diagnose those potential injuries in athletes. The more quickly a problem is discovered, the more likely long term damage can be avoided.
