Kroger donates to groups that help the poor

Kroger's Atlanta Division has donated $50,000 each to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Atlanta Community Food Bank to help each organization fight hunger in metro Atlanta.

The money will be used to buy new vehicles to pick up perishable and dry groceries from local Kroger stores on a weekly basis.

Kroger's Atlanta Division donates more than a million pounds of food annually.
